Demolition of a 750 foot suspension pipe bridge

Johnston undertook the exacting work of removal and disposal of this 750 foot span of a natural gas pipeline at Shoreacres BC.  One of the requirements was to mitigate the pipe shedding lead based paint into the Kootenay river below it had to be clad with 26 guage galvanized steel prior to removal. The next step was to removed the tensioned steel suspension frame in a controlled and safe manner.
