The project involved the supply and installation of the H-pile foundation for a replacement bridge in a rural area of Clearwater County in Alberta. The tops of the piles were galvanized with unprotected or “black” tips. The work was undertaken for the General Contractor (GC) who was replacing the entire bridge structure. The piles were driven into the roadway before the old bridge was removed maintaining access for workers to both banks of the creek. Johnston Construction was able to complete the work ahead of schedule and on budget.
