The work involved the installation of the steel girders for the Alberta Highway's Tawatinaw River Bridge. The project involved the installation of all the structural steel for the Tawatinaw River Bridge in the Town of Athabasca, Alberta. Due to some unforeseen ground conditions which slowed the earthwork on the project the approved steel erection plan had to be abandoned at the last minute. Johnston Construction’s Engineers and Project Managers worked closely with the project stakeholders to fast track a new erection plan which enabled the work to be undertaken without any delays to the schedule.
