The project involved supplying and installing 12” caissons to support a dock on Lake Koocanusa.  This was a part of a new boat launch. The main challenge with the project was found in the slope of the launch which was much steeper that can typically be handled by pile installation equipment. To deal with this challenge a truck mounted drill was used in combination with a custom built portable ramp. The piles were then installed to the ground elevation with the truck and then spliced to the final cut-off elevation. The project was completed on schedule and on budget.
