Johnston Construction had to remove & replace two resources bridges, while another two needed to be re-decked, and one decommissioned. The project involved improvements to numerous creek crossings on the Jumbo Creek FSR outside of Invermere, BC. One bridge structure was removed and replaced with a new structure designed and supplied by Johnston Construction. The removed bridge was then modified and reinstalled at a separate location with a new concrete deck. Another bridge was removed and the crossing decommissioned. Lastly, the decks of two other bridges were replaced. Johnston Construction worked closely with the Ministry’s Engineers and other project personnel to deal with changes to the scope of the project while ensuring that the schedule, which was dictated by the environmental permits, remained on track.
