The work involved timber railing, bull rail and deck replacements to 6 bridges. The project involved replacing various combinations of timber bridge decks, railings and bull rails on 6 bridges in the West Kootenays of BC.  Each of the different bridges was of a different design and had its own unique challenges.  The roads were kept open during the bridge work reducing the impact on the motoring public. Due to the time sensitive nature of the work Johnston Construction mobilized two crews for the project.  This allowed us to undertake work on more than one bridge at a time enabling completion of the work a week ahead of schedule.  The work was also completed on budget.
