In 2005 M Johnston Construction (MJC) was involved with Tourism BC rehabilatating 5 trestle's in the Nelson area.  They ranged in length from 100 feet to 700 feet and were located on the Fort Shepherd railway/rail trail. The work involved replacing existing ties with pressure treated cross ties, replacing the stringers with pressure treated wood and replacing the decking.  The railing was posts and guard rails that upgraded the structures to current standards.
